Farmers On 57th
One acre urban farm is on Vancouver Coastal Health land which is home to George Pearson Centre, a long-term residential care home for people with disabilities. The gardens consist of half acre market garden, public community gardens and therapeutic gardens (at different sites). Several programs are offered, including: Grow Your Own Food Course, Garden Club for Pearson residents, Growing Eden for refugee, low-income or new immigrant families, Community Garden plots, CSA Harvest Share, Flower Share, Urban Farm Volunteer Learning Program, and farm tours and educational programs.
