Learning Gardens include three outdoor raised-bed gardens on SFU Burnaby and Surrey campuses, as well as an indoor vertical garden inside SFU Surrey. The food rescue program collects imperfect looking edible produce from food retail outlets and provides it to SFU students for free or by donation. Community kitchen is a gathering place for students to cook vegetarian or plant-based meals; many recipes use fresh organic ingredients from the Learning Gardens. Sustainability Career Nights introduces students to variety of topics and industries in the field of sustainability by connecting with community and industry leaders.
