Description: Your role will involve broadforking and spreading compost over our beds to prepare them for planting. This is a short-term opportunity to get hands-on experience in organic farming. You will be working around 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities: Use a broadfork to aerate and loosen the soil in our crop beds.
Spread compost evenly over the prepared beds.
Collaborate with our farm team to ensure the proper application of compost.
Assist with any other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for working outdoors and contributing to sustainable agriculture.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and digging.
Willingness to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
No previous farming experience required, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are essential.
Flexibility to work for a specific gig duration.
Physical fitness and stamina to work comfortably in various weather conditions.
